Tiger 1 Card Services administers the Tiger 1 Card program.
The Tiger 1 Card is the official Clemson University ID Card and is an
important part of campus life. The Card is truly an all-inclusive card.
Your Tiger 1 Card is made during orientation at no cost and remains valid
as long as you are officially enrolled at the university and have paid all your fees.
The pictures taken for your Tiger 1 Card are to be close ups of the face only.
The card must provide the best photo possible for official university business.
These pictures are stored in our files and can be retrieved when necessary.
Applicants are not permitted to wear hats, veils, sunglasses, etc that may
obstruct the face or hair.
If you suspect your card is lost or stolen, play it safe and report it immediately
to the Tiger 1 Card office (656-0763). After business hours you can visit our
Online Card Office and suspend your card. On the next business day, please come
by our office and secure your new card. A charge of $20 will be imposed for all lost
cards. Stolen cards with proof of loss (ie a police report) required at time of
replacement will cost $10 otherwise the cost to replace a stolen card is $20.
Damaged cards presented at time of replacement will cost $10. No charge will be
imposed for a card that breaks due to normal wear and tear or for a card on which
the magnetic stripe no longer works.
The Tiger 1 Card becomes your personal debit card when you open a TigerStripe account. The
card provides a safe, convenient way to make purchases on campus without having to carry
cash. You can also view your purchase history and balance using the Online Card Office. Web
statements of the previous month are provided the first week of every month to help you manage your account balance. There are no
monthly fees or interest charges and there is no required minimum balance.
Once funds are deposited into your TigerStripe account, they cannot be withdrawn unless you
officially withdraw, transfer, or graduate from the University. You can not obtain cash advances from
your TigerStripe Account.
